What level am I - A1 or A2?
A1 is for complete beginners with no knowledge of Dutch. A2 is for people who have some basic knowledge and can understand and use simple phrases. If you are not sure, send Pieter a message and he will help you figure out the right level.
How many students are in a class?
Pels offers two group sizes. The big group has a maximum of 15 students. The small group has a maximum of 10 students and offers more personal attention.
What is included in the course price?
Every student receives a workbook, a pocket booklet with the most useful Dutch expressions, presentation slides, cultural homework assignments and one free private lesson.
Do I need any prior knowledge of Dutch?
Not for A1! A1 is designed for complete beginners. For A2 you should have some basic knowledge of Dutch.
Where exactly is the classroom?
Classes take place at Oudeschans 21, 1011 KS in Amsterdam Centrum. It is easy to reach by public transport and centrally located in the heart of Amsterdam.
What if I miss a class?
You will receive the presentation slides and materials for every lesson, so you can catch up in your own time.
Is the free private lesson really included?
Yes! Every student gets one free private lesson included in the course price. This is a great opportunity to ask specific questions or work on areas you find challenging.
When does Pilot 3 start?
Pilot 3 is scheduled to start on August 10, 2026 (A1) and August 12 (A2).
When does Pilot 4 start?
Pilot 4 is scheduled to start on October 19, 2026 (A1) and October 21 (A2).
